Once September rolls in, I get so many beautiful fall bouquets with orange, yellow, & pampas grass. Did you know that not all the vibrant color stays once the bouquet has dried?

Naturally, orange & yellow tends to darken into a shade of brown. Certain flowers retain their color better than others. If you want the most vibrant fall colors for your bouquet preservation, here is a suggested list to share with your florist. These are my recommended flowers that preserve the best!

Orange Flowers Recommended

  • Orange & yellow, bicolor roses
  • Zinnas instead of mums or dahlias
  • Strawflowers
  • Peach or yellow ranunculus
  • Pincushion protea
  • Amaranthus

Yellow Flowers Recommended

  • Yellow daisies
  • Goldenrods
  • Carnations
  • Sunflowers
  • Yellow Billyballs
  • Celosias
  • Cornflowers & Strawflowers
  • Yarrow

Dried elements such as pampas grass, palmetto leaves, bleached Italian ruscus, & cotton tails stay the same!

If you are wanting a more muted fall bouquet, then terra cotta or dusty rose colors work well.

Regardless of your choice of flowers, your bouquet is the last thing you hold when you transform from Miss to Mrs. It holds sentimental value & I can’t wait to preserve it for you.

Now, go & shine down the aisle!
